Moonlight Sonata - Remoostered

The German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven (composer of the 1801 Piano Sonata No.14 - also known as the Moonlight Sonata) wasn't an easy person to paint. He was always on the go and he didn't tolerate painters around him - spending time posing in one place was out of the question.

But, in 1820, he agreed to sit for the artist Joseph Karl Stieler - royal court painter of the Bavarian Kings. This painting not only became Stieler's most famous work, it was also the only painting Beethoven ever sat for.

Caroline's version, one of the many parodies features her trademark bovine influence whilst remaining loyal to the nostalgia of the original.
